DISAGREEABLE CREATURES is proud to present ODDITIES, choreographed by Danita Shaheen in collaboration with her wonderful Creatures. Our program is a medley of works past, present, and new, and thus divided into three sections; previously performed excerpts from a piece in progress, a teaser of our full length ballet, and the premiere of our latest creation.

Our aim is to make dance accessible and enjoyable for all. We hope that our dynamic movement, mixture of technical styles, and array of musical choices will encourage those outside of the dance community to want to support this craft, and its artists.

Disagreeable Creatures was conceived in the sultry summer of 2021 by a delinquent dancer who was disillusioned with the archaic atmosphere of her field. Hoping to reignite her joy of movement, she reached out to like minded artists to join her on her mission. To change the status quo of dance creation through an environment that emphasizes inclusion and collaboration. Dancer health and well-being is the utmost priority of this company. We believe that it is imperative that every artist feels valued, supported, and heard.

We are so excited to perform for the Arts On Site Community, and show off the artistry of these incredible dancers- Chauncey Pauley, Amy Ashley, Marine Tanaka, Olivia Wood Ishiguro, Cara Marguerite, and Allison Costa.
